Much like the Designation of Savings Excellence Award, the Savings Champion Award is an annual, industry-respected recognition honoring organizations that go above and beyond in actively promoting savings strategies during America Saves Week.
Savings Champion designees are made up of organizations outside of financial institutions—such as nonprofits, employers, schools, cooperative extensions, universities, and government agencies—who demonstrated outstanding dedication to financial education and empowerment in their communities.
The 20 honorees were selected from over 5,300 individuals representing participating organizations in America Saves Week 2026, held from April 6–10. The national campaign encouraged individuals to complete a financial wellness check-in, set a savings goal, and take actionable steps toward greater financial security.
