AMERICA SAVES HONORS 19 ORGANIZATIONS FOR SIGNIFICANT EFFORTS TO PROMOTE SAVINGS DURING AMERICA SAVES WEEK
The Annual Savings Champion Award Is Presented to Organizations With the Greatest Impact Reported During the Week-Long Celebration. The Community Impact Award Is Presented to an Organization That Used the America Saves Pledge to Encourage Savings Goals For Their Community.
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) July 17, 2024 — America Saves announced today the winners of its Savings Champions Award, an annual award presented to organizations that contributed significantly to America Saves Week by actively and effectively promoting savings strategies to their own audiences and beyond. The industry-respected award honors organizations outside financial institutions such as nonprofit organizations, employers, cooperative extensions, schools, universities, and more.

"Their commitment during America Saves Week has set a standard of excellence, reminding us that with each dollar saved, we build a stronger, more resilient future."

America Saves Week is a time-honored, national event bringing together thousands of organizations across multiple sectors to transform the lives of Americans by encouraging them to save successfully. Alongside the Savings Champions, more than 4,600 organizations participated in 2024 under the theme of saving for what matters most in local and national communities throughout the United States.
The collective effort culminated in reaching nearly four million individuals during the week-long celebration. Participating financial institutions report that individuals deposited $3,900,000 into new or existing savings accounts during the week. Many participants also took the America Saves Pledge, a digital tool that guides Savers through setting a savings goal and making a simple plan to reach that goal.
In addition to the Savings Champion Awards, America Saves introduced the Community Impact Award in 2023, recognizing one organization that used the America Saves Pledge to encourage savings goals for their community. Winners were determined based on the total number of pledges taken by their audience members.
